  1. Naturalization based on years of residence

If you have completed seven years, legally and continuously residence in the Republic of Cyprus you have the right to apply for citizenship. In cases of aliens who are either parents or children of Cypriot citizens the time required is five years rather than seven.

An investment visa holder can apply for citizenship after five years of permanent residency within seven years.

  1. Short stay visa

If you intend to visit Cyprus for business or vacation for a period not exceeding 3 months, you are required to apply for a short-stay visa. The visa can be issued as multiple-entry or single-entry.

  1. Long Term Residence

Third-country nationals who have resided legally and continuously within the controlled areas by the Government of the Republic for five years prior to the submission of the relevant application and who possess valid residence permits.

  1. Persons who intend to work as self-employed in Agriculture, cattle breeding, bird breeding or fish culture, mining enterprises, in a trade or profession in the Republic of Cyprus, provided they have fully and freely at their disposal capital and/or in a profession or science who have been offered permanent employment the Republic. (Category A, B, C, D, E)

iii. CYPRUS PERMANENT RESIDENCY BY INVESTMENT:

Cyprus is a pole of attraction for many investors either to transfer their business to Cyprus or to start their business activities as our island is the antechamber for Europe and the expansion of their activities in it and beyond.

  1. Persons who possess and have fully and freely at their disposal a secured annual income, high enough to give them a decent living in Cyprus, without having to engage in any business, trade or profession. (Category F).

Persons who intent to make a minimum investment of €300,000 in new residential properties, real estate, share capital of a Cypriot company, or alternative investment funds can obtain visa for himself/herself and their family members. This Cyprus investment visa allows non-EU citizens and dependents to come and stay as permanent residents in the Republic of Cyprus without any restriction. (Category 6.3 (fast track)

  1. EUROPEAN CITIZENS

The application for the issue of a Registration Certificate is submitted by a European Union citizen and family members who are also citizens of a Member State, within four months from the date of entry into the Republic.

  1. SCHENGEN AREA OR EUROPE VISA

The Cypriot Council of Ministers is launching a new strategy aiming at attracting new international businesses / talent, namely, the “Digital Nomad Visa Scheme”.

With 500 residence permits available, this scheme aims to solidify Cyprus’ status as a international business hub, particularly with regard to digital services, whilst also working towards establishing a more rigid business ecosystem and ultimately, economic growth.

This scheme will permit third country nationals who are able to work regardless of location by using telecommunications technology, temporary residence in Cyprus, whilst allowing them to work for an employer registered abroad (in the case of an employee) or carry out work for companies or clients located abroad
